Adopt a Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

Domestic Short Hair (short coat) Cat

Shani the Cat needs a home

~~Shani

This kitty was adopted out a couple of years ago to a young woman in St. Paul that apparently gave her away, those ‘owners’ dumped her at HSMO in the valley and I was not able to pick her up for 10 days.  All surrendered kitties are on stray hold if the owner cannot be reached.  I also tried to reach her and she did not respond to phone calls or email requests for information.  Of course Shani had a cold when I picked her up, very common from an extended stay at a kill shelter.  She has been treated for that and is ready for adoption.  Shani is a quiet girl, very affectionate but will not sit on my lap.  Loves petting and scratching and heat bunting and nose touching; but the moment I place her on my lap she jumps down.  I hate to think she was not allowed to cuddle with the people she was living with, but she certainly cuddled with me when she was a kitten.  She loves to wander the house and explore, hides to sleep, and is just fine with other kitties.  She has no exposure to dogs but did live with children; well for a couple of years anyway.  She is up to date on shots, spayed, microchipped, negative for FIV and FeLV, and has been retreated for any parasites.  Shani is Heartland #10423CL.
